Colleagues, customers and suppliers speaking different languages can now work together without an interpreter.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>A service call on the other side of the world, a machine supplier who only speaks German, or onboarding a new technician at a foreign branch \u2013 a language barrier can delay even a simple fix. The combination of RealWear smart glasses and TeamViewer software now offers a way to get around it right during the call.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_064d3121\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>What the new feature does<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>TeamViewer lets a field technician share a live camera feed from the glasses with an expert and talk to them at the same time \u2013 with both hands free for work. The new addition is live captions with automatic translation.<\/p>\n<p>The principle is simple: one participant&#8217;s speech is transcribed into text, which is instantly translated and displayed in the other participant&#8217;s language. The field technician sees the captions on the glasses display, the expert at the computer sees them right in the app. Communication flows smoothly even when each person speaks a different language. The feature also serves as a transcript of the call.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_064d3121\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>How it works in practice<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Captions and translation are turned on during the session, on both ends of the connection:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The expert at the computer enables the feature in the toolbar via Communicate and selects their language.<\/li>\n<li>The field technician selects the language they will communicate in.<\/li>\n<li>From that point on, both sides&#8217; speech is transcribed and translated in real time, and the call can begin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The language setting can be changed at any time during the call.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_064d3121\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p><strong>Why it makes sense for service and maintenance<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>For service and maintenance teams, this is a practical new tool, not just a technical gimmick. It changes how interventions can be handled across countries and suppliers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A field technician can communicate with a foreign expert or machine manufacturer without an interpreter and without waiting for translation.<\/li>\n<li>Downtime is shorter \u2013 the problem is solved right away, not once a language-matched team is assembled.<\/li>\n<li>Training and knowledge transfer between branches in different countries is faster and clearer.<\/li>\n<li>Costs for expert travel and external interpreting go down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>RealWear glasses are also built for harsh industrial environments, worn with protective equipment and controlled by voice.
